Mythbusters: Heartbreak Edition
MYTH: You can’t cry yourself to sleep.
Adam: Ever since Annie left me, I cry myself to sleep at least once a week. You think at a certain point you’re going to stop crying and fall asleep but then suddenly it’s morning and you don’t remember ever stopping.
Jamie: Huh?
MYTH: BUSTED

MYTH: There’s plenty of other women out there.
Adam: That’s what everyone keeps saying. That I’ll find someone new. Maybe I don’t want to, you know?
Jamie: I don’t think this is a good idea.
Adam: There were always other women out there. Women at conferences, at fan conventions, at the lab. But I chose Annie.
Jamie: Why don’t we turn off the cameras and just talk? This doesn’t seem healthy.
Adam: So if we’re going to be technical about it, sure, there are other women out there. But who else has her laugh? Or will let me ramble on about robots and experiments? Or participate in those experiments, like the one that debunked the facial symmetry beauty matrix?
Jamie: Oh, Adam.
MYTH: BUSTED

MYTH: My children love me.
Adam: Yeah, if they love me so much, why did they choose to keep living with her? What, because then they still get to use the pool? Because then they don’t have to wait for my breakfast contraption to prepare their eggs and toast? Come on.

MYTH: It only takes 3 licks to get to the center of a tootsie pop.
Adam: How did this one get in there?
Jamie: Just thought it would be a nice distraction.
Adam: Once we were at the airport and I was so hungry and Annie found a blow pop in her bag and gave it too me. That’s kind of like a tootsie pop.
Jamie: Okay, great, how about you just lick and count.
Adam: One…two…three…
MYTH: BUSTED I GUESS? WHO CARES, AT LEAST HE IS BUSY WITH THAT NOW
